The position of System Patient Services Director for Jefferson Health System offers a dynamic leadership opportunity within Aramark Healthcare+. As a System Patient Services Director, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive dining strategies that cater specifically to patient and customer preferences while ensuring high standards of food quality and nutrition. This role involves technical expertise in interpreting government-mandated healthcare nutritional requirements and transforming these into effective, healthy menu plans. You will lead a large team comprising Patient Services Managers and Supervisors, overseeing the patient feeding process and quality assurance to drive excellent patient satisfaction and maintain strong relationships with nursing staff across multiple healthcare sites. Moreover, your role will include actively interacting with clients and stakeholders to present strategies and ensure alignment with overall healthcare service goals. This leadership position requires a strategic mindset, strong operational skills, and the ability to manage complex, multi-site healthcare foodservice operations while maintaining budget controls and improving patient outcomes through nutrition. Job Requirements

  • 3-5 years of food service management experience within a large acute care hospital
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Healthcare food service experience required
  • Must be a self starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Experience managing, motivating and engaging a large workforce
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs required
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service and organizational skills required

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Requires 3-5 years of food service management experience within a large acute care hospital
  • Healthcare food service experience required
  • Multi-site experience is a plus
  • Must be a self starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Experience managing, motivating and engaging a large workforce
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs required
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer services and organizational skills required
  • A college education in Nutrition or Dietetics preferred
  • SERV Safe Certification is a plus

Job Duties

  • Participate in planning and executing consistent nutrition and patient communications and strategies and serve as a nutrition/patient resource across a multi-site component or highly complex healthcare facility
  • Create and manage a network of thought leaders to support nutrition issues and strategies across the component
  • Manage and control resources and materials to ensure quality, adequacy of supply, and cost control within budgetary guidelines
  • Direct patient food service activities, complying with established standards including the patient feeding program and delivery of trays to patient units
  • Lead patient service managers, supervisors and staff to ensure meals are properly prepared and delivered to patients
  • Own the 'Adopt a Floor' program and ensure rounding is conducted on patients/departments
  • Oversee the diet office and the service ambassador program
  • Record safety and sanitation compliance
