The company is a leader in delivering mission-critical technologies and services that help government and commercial customers address their most complex challenges. With a strong emphasis on research and development, L3Harris fosters a collaborative environment where technology and innovation drive performance and growth.

The position of System Administrator at L3Harris is based in Waco, TX and requires a 100% onsite presence, reflecting the company’s commitment to a hands-on and collaborative IT environment. Compensation is competitive, with pay rates up to $70 per hour on a W2 basis, reflecting the specialized skills and experience required.

The System Administrator will be a critical member of the IT team, responsible for the deployment, securing, maintenance, and support of Linux and Windows workstations utilized by engineering and technical teams. Endpoint security is a major focus, encompassing encryption, antivirus solutions, logging, compliance monitoring, and vulnerability remediation to protect the organization’s digital assets.

Automation and efficiency are emphasized through scripting using Bash, PowerShell, Python, or similar languages to handle repetitive system administration tasks. Furthermore, the System Administrator will deploy software packages and developer tools necessary for the engineering teams. Maintaining comprehensive technical documentation and workstation standards is essential for consistency and compliance.

Collaboration is key in this role, as the System Administrator will work closely with Engineering, DevOps, Cybersecurity, and IT teams to address system challenges and enhance overall reliability.
