We are currently seeking independent contractors specializing in Audio Visual (AV) support. This role is essential for the successful execution of live events, where technical precision and effective media equipment management are crucial. Contractors will be responsible for the setup, operation, and teardown of various AV equipment including projectors, microphones, video monitors, soundboards, and scenic elements. This position is not full-time, offering flexibility for contractors who excel in fast-paced, event-driven settings. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on approach, strong troubleshooting capabilities, and a commitment to delivering top-tier client service throughout each event. Job Requirements
- Previous experience working as an AV technician
- High level of physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy equipment
- Ability to climb ladder, scaffolding or transported by lifts
- Flexibility to work evenings, holidays, weekends and extended hours
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience working as an AV technician
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- High level of physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy equipment
- Ability to climb ladder, scaffolding or transported by lifts
- Ability to demonstrate organizing and implementing skills which allow the successful completion of a project by a specific due date
- Good communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

- Flexibility to work outside the job description when the need arises
Job Duties
- Meeting with event coordinators to discuss audio, lighting, video and scenic requirements
- Setting up and installing microphones, lights, video monitors, projectors, speakers, and video cameras
- Conducting sound, visual, and performance quality checks on AV equipment
- Operating sound and visual equipment during live events
- Troubleshooting equipment and ensuring events run smoothly
- Providing outstanding customer service to the clients and venue staff
- Work in a fast paced, ever-changing environment where input is always appreciated
- Varying schedule to include evenings, holidays, weekends and extended hours as business dictates
- Protect company equipment as if it were your own and report any damages to respective personnel
- Disassembling audio and visual equipment and packing up after the event
