Job Description

Selko, part of Trouw Nutrition under the Nutreco company umbrella, is a global leader in animal nutrition and feed additive solutions. With a deep-rooted commitment to "Feeding the Future," Selko takes pride in delivering innovative nutritional products that positively impact global food production and sustainability. Nutreco, as one of the world’s largest privately owned businesses, offers both stability and a long-term vision for its employees, making it an attractive employer for professionals passionate about the agricultural and animal nutrition sectors. Selko focuses specifically on enhanced animal performance through science-based products and solutions, addressing the needs of farmers and the feed industry worldwide.

The Swine Account Manager role at Selko is a full-time, remote position based within the United States and serves as a key replacement vacancy. In this customer-facing role, the selected candidate will own growth initiatives and foster strong customer relationships within the swine industry. The position involves collaborating closely with both technical and commercial teams, translating complex nutritional science into practical customer benefits. A primary focus involves consulting and supporting swine producers and nutritionists, providing expert guidance on Selko and IntelliBond product lines.

The role demands a strategic approach to sales, where the Swine Account Manager will utilize advanced SPIN selling techniques to nurture and advance sales opportunities. Relationship building is multi-layered, involving interactions at various levels of customer organizations to ensure robust partnerships. Additionally, the role offers the chance to contribute to ongoing swine research strategies alongside internal technical experts. Customer-facing trials offer an opportunity to demonstrate product efficacy in real-world settings, while marketing collaboration ensures that trial outcomes are effectively communicated to customers to underscore product value.

This position emphasizes ownership — candidates are encouraged to drive their own development and career trajectory, reflecting a company culture that values empowered employees. The role supports a dynamic work environment where collaboration, customer success, and professional growth intersect. The ideal Swine Account Manager will be a blend of technical acumen in animal science, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for customer service and results-driven sales. This role also requires readiness to travel 30 to 50 percent of the time, enabling the development of deep industry insights and closer customer engagement.

At Selko, employees become part of the SHV family, benefiting from a broad global network of expertise and diverse career opportunities. The company also provides a competitive compensation and benefits package that includes comprehensive health coverage, disability and life insurance, matching retirement programs, paid parental leave, tuition reimbursement, ample vacation and paid time off, and sales incentives that reward high performance. Selko remains committed to creating an inclusive workplace, providing accommodations throughout the hiring process and promoting employment equity.
