The Host/Hostess role at Sixty Vines plays a critical part in the restaurant’s success by providing the first and lasting impression for guests. This position involves greeting and seating guests in a friendly, hospitable manner, managing reservations and waitlists efficiently to optimize the dining experience, and maintaining the cleanliness and welcoming environment of the host area. The Host/Hostess acts as a key communication link between guests and the restaurant team, ensuring smooth flow and exceptional customer service from the moment guests arrive. Beyond managing seating logistics, the role demands excellent interpersonal skills to engage guests with genuine friendliness, coordinate with servers and management, and provide information regarding the menu, wine offerings, and daily specials. The position requires a professional demeanor, punctuality, attention to detail in appearance, and a commitment to the Sixty Vines brand of hospitality.

This is a dynamic, customer-facing position that combines organizational, communicative, and service skills to create an outstanding dining experience. The role offers an average pay of $17 or more per hour, inclusive of tips, and includes benefits such as flexible scheduling, paid time off eligibility after one year, insurance coverage after 90 days upon meeting hour requirements, quarterly wine country trips, and opportunities to earn WSET or Sommelier certification.
