Job Description

Sixty Vines is a renowned restaurant celebrated for its chef-driven menus inspired by the seasonal cuisine of wine country. The establishment is known for preparing dishes with local ingredients, ensuring every meal is fresh and flavorful, straight from their open scratch kitchen. Patrons of Sixty Vines enjoy a vibrant dining experience supported by knowledgeable staff who expertly pair each dish with the perfect glass of wine, underscoring the philosophy that food tastes better with wine. This commitment to quality and authenticity creates a unique and engaging environment both for guests and employees alike.

Working at Sixty Vines means being part of a dynamic team that emphasizes hospitality, professionalism, and a passion for culinary excellence. The company fosters an atmosphere where employees can grow and develop their skills, particularly through opportunities such as wine country trips every quarter and WSET or Sommelier certification programs. These initiatives not only enhance staff knowledge but also deepen their appreciation of wine culture, which is central to the Sixty Vines experience.

The role of a Host or Hostess at Sixty Vines is essential in delivering the first and lasting impression to guests. The Host is responsible for greeting and seating all guests in a friendly, hospitable, and timely manner, setting the tone for an exceptional dining outing. Handling incoming telephone calls before the third ring, maintaining a clean and welcoming entrance and hostess stand, managing the reservation system diligently without overbooking or underbooking, and escorting guests to their tables with warmth and light conversation are key facets of this role. This position offers a flexible schedule and an inclusive average compensation of $17 or more per hour, including tips. It is ideal for individuals who enjoy interaction, have a professional demeanor, and are passionate about creating memorable dining experiences.

Employees at Sixty Vines benefit from a comprehensive range of perks designed to support their well-being and professional growth. After meeting minimum average hours and one year of service, they receive five days of paid time off. Additionally, insurance benefits become available after 60 days of employment with required hours. The company promotes work-life balance with flexible schedules and provides unique experiences such as quarterly trips to wine country, which enhance the team's connection to the restaurant's core values. Additionally, the pursuit of wine education through WSET or Sommelier certification ensures that employees are equipped with expert knowledge to provide outstanding service.

Sixty Vines takes pride in maintaining a respectful and inclusive workplace committed to legal employment practices, participating in the E-Verify program to verify eligibility. They are an Equal Opportunity Employer, ensuring fair treatment and consideration for all applicants. This position not only invites candidates with experience but welcomes those willing to learn and grow in the hospitality industry. If you are enthusiastic about food, wine, and delivering superior guest service, joining the Sixty Vines team as a Host or Hostess offers a rewarding career path in a vibrant, esteemed restaurant setting.
