Job Description

Sixty Vines is a chef-driven restaurant that specializes in seasonal cuisine inspired by the vibrant wine country. Our menus are crafted using fresh, local ingredients sourced directly from the region, showcasing the authentic flavors of the season. True to our name and philosophy, Sixty Vines offers an exceptional dining experience where every dish is thoughtfully paired with a perfect glass of wine from our extensive selection. Our knowledgeable staff are passionate about wine and cuisine, helping guests create memorable meals that seamlessly bring taste and wine together. With an open-scratch kitchen concept, every item on the menu is made fresh to order, ensuring quality and flavor in every bite. We are proud to be a part of the community and offer a welcoming environment where our guests can relax and enjoy farm-to-table dining in an inviting atmosphere.

We are currently seeking dedicated Dishwashers / Porters to join our team. This role is crucial to maintaining the smooth operation of our kitchen and restaurant floor by ensuring impeccably clean service ware, pots, pans, and other kitchen utensils. Our Dishwashers / Porters support the production line by handling the cleaning and organizing of all necessary kitchen equipment, while also maintaining cleanliness in key areas such as walk-in coolers, dry storage, and freezer units. The position involves close collaboration with front and back-of-house staff to create an efficient and sanitary work environment.

This is a flexible schedule position offering an hourly wage ranging from $11 to $15 per hour. After 60 days of employment and meeting minimum average hours, employees become eligible for insurance benefits. Beyond the basics, Sixty Vines values its team by providing unique benefits such as quarterly wine country trips and access to WSET or Sommelier certification programs. Our team members are encouraged to grow their skills not only in kitchen operations but also in wine education, contributing to a well-rounded hospitality career.

The ideal candidate must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds, with a strong commitment to maintaining high sanitation standards, including holding a current Food Handler's Certification. Responsibilities include operating dishwashing machinery, proper storage and rotation of clean and soiled items, assisting with prep duties as needed, and maintaining safety protocols to ensure a clean and well-organized kitchen space. Communication and teamwork are key elements of this role, as the dishwasher works closely with other kitchen staff and management to deliver the exceptional standards that Sixty Vines is known for. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals starting their career in the hospitality industry or those looking to be part of a passionate and dynamic team that prioritizes quality, service, and continuous learning.
