Job Description
Sixty Vines is a vibrant and chef-driven restaurant that celebrates the seasonal cuisine of wine country through menus crafted with fresh, local ingredients. At Sixty Vines, every dish is carefully prepared in an open-scratch kitchen, ensuring freshness and quality in every bite. The restaurant offers an exquisite dining experience where guests can enjoy thoughtfully paired wines that complement each meal perfectly. Sixty Vines prides itself on its knowledgeable staff who bring passion and expertise to help guests select the ideal glass of wine to enhance their culinary experience. This commitment to excellence has made Sixty Vines a sought-after destination for wine lovers and food enthusiasts alike.
For individuals seeking a dynamic role in the hospitality industry, Sixty Vines is currently hiring Back/Service Bartenders. This position plays a vital part in the restaurant’s operation by preparing and delivering drinks and alcoholic beverages for the wait staff according to established recipes, quality, and timing standards. The role also includes assisting wait staff with food delivery and bussing tables, helping the dining room run smoothly by attentive guest service. A Back/Service Bartender at Sixty Vines works closely with a team that values professionalism, attentive service, and a warm atmosphere where guests feel welcomed and cared for.
This position offers flexible schedules ideal for those balancing other commitments. After meeting minimum average hours worked for one year, employees are entitled to five days of paid time off. Sixty Vines supports its team with insurance benefits available after 90 days under certain qualifications. Competitive earnings are a feature of this role, with back barbacks earning from $16 to $20 or more per hour inclusive of tips. Additional perks include opportunities for wine country trips every quarter and access to WSET or Sommelier certification programs, supporting professional growth and a deeper understanding of wine service. Sixty Vines is committed to fostering a team environment with clear communication, mutual respect, and excellent guest experience, all while maintaining rigorous sanitation and service standards.
The Back/Service Bartender position requires punctuality, adherence to uniform standards, and the ability to maintain a clean and organized work station. Key daily tasks include assembling and dismantling the work station, preparing drinks with precision using proper recipes and procedures, maintaining inventory and beverage temperatures, replacing beer kegs with the physical capability to lift at least 50 pounds, as well as cleaning equipment and bar areas throughout shifts. Employees are expected to communicate effectively with coworkers and management to ensure smooth operations and superior guest service. The ideal candidate is prepared to stand for long periods, use knives safely, maintain current Food Handler's Certification, and thrive in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.
Sixty Vines places great emphasis on a positive work culture and legal compliance by participating in the E-Verify program to ensure employment eligibility for all new hires. This position offers a unique opportunity to grow professionally in a renowned restaurant environment that blends culinary artistry with premium wine culture while enjoying a variety of attractive benefits and a team-oriented workplace.
