Job Requirements
- Minimum two years’ experience in kitchen preparation and line cook experience
- Positive energy and readiness to assist support staff and work as a team player
- Ability to speak, read, and understand basic cooking directions
- Effective communication skills with managers, employees, and guests
- Flexible schedule to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand/walk constantly with occasional stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling, or lifting
Job Qualifications
- Minimum two years of kitchen preparation and line cook experience
- Ability to provide training and guidance to team members
- Knowledge of sushi culinary cooking procedures and plating
- Strong communication skills to interact with managers, employees, and guests
- Positive energy and team player mindset
Job Duties
- Accurately and efficiently prepare the highest quality of sushi for guests
- Compile consistently with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen rules
- Provide training and guidance to other team members regarding sushi culinary procedures and plating
- Prepare and present all food items hot and cold per sushi outlet standards
- Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation including tables, shelves, and refrigeration equipment
- Adhere to all cleanliness and sanitation regulations
- Properly close the kitchen and follow closing checklist for kitchen stations
- Report all product shortages, equipment problems, or food quality issues to the Chef
