Job Requirements

  • Minimum two years’ experience in kitchen preparation and line cook experience
  • Positive energy and readiness to assist support staff and work as a team player
  • Ability to speak, read, and understand basic cooking directions
  • Effective communication skills with managers, employees, and guests
  • Flexible schedule to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to stand/walk constantly with occasional stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling, or lifting

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum two years of kitchen preparation and line cook experience
  • Ability to provide training and guidance to team members
  • Knowledge of sushi culinary cooking procedures and plating
  • Strong communication skills to interact with managers, employees, and guests
  • Positive energy and team player mindset

Job Duties

  • Accurately and efficiently prepare the highest quality of sushi for guests
  • Compile consistently with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen rules
  • Provide training and guidance to other team members regarding sushi culinary procedures and plating
  • Prepare and present all food items hot and cold per sushi outlet standards
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation including tables, shelves, and refrigeration equipment
  • Adhere to all cleanliness and sanitation regulations
  • Properly close the kitchen and follow closing checklist for kitchen stations
  • Report all product shortages, equipment problems, or food quality issues to the Chef
