This role calls for a talented and passionate Sushi Roller who possesses both technical skill and creative flair. The ideal candidate will take great pride in preparing high-quality sushi, paying meticulous attention to each slice of fish and every piece of nigiri created. The Sushi Roller is responsible for crafting a delight for guests’ taste buds, ensuring the presentation and portion sizes meet established standards. In addition to preparing sushi, the role involves guiding and training team members in culinary techniques and plating to maintain consistent quality across all service periods. Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene by adhering to all food safety and sanitation regulations is essential, as well as properly closing down the kitchen station at the end of shifts. The Sushi Roller will be entrusted with the quality and presentation of all sushi products served, working closely with kitchen management to report any shortages or issues that may arise. This position requires not only culinary expertise but also the ability to communicate effectively, embrace teamwork, and demonstrate a positive, proactive attitude in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Job Requirements
- Minimum two years’ experience in kitchen preparation and line cook experience
- Positive energy and readiness to assist support staff and work as a team player
- Ability to speak, read, and understand basic cooking directions
- Effective communication skills with managers, employees, and guests
- Flexible schedule to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to stand/walk constantly with occasional stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling, or lifting
Job Qualifications
- Minimum two years of kitchen preparation and line cook experience
- Ability to provide training and guidance to team members
- Knowledge of sushi culinary cooking procedures and plating

Job Duties
- Accurately and efficiently prepare the highest quality of sushi for guests
- Compile consistently with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards, and kitchen rules
- Provide training and guidance to other team members regarding sushi culinary procedures and plating
- Prepare and present all food items hot and cold per sushi outlet standards
- Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation including tables, shelves, and refrigeration equipment
- Adhere to all cleanliness and sanitation regulations
- Properly close the kitchen and follow closing checklist for kitchen stations
- Report all product shortages, equipment problems, or food quality issues to the Chef
