Job Description

Sushi Roller is part of The Indigo Road Hospitality Group (IRHG), a renowned company in the hospitality industry known for its commitment to exceptional service and employee-first culture. Established in 2009 by Steve Palmer, IRHG has expanded to over 30 locations and has garnered a reputation for fostering a supportive work environment where employees are encouraged to grow both professionally and personally. The company values a family-like atmosphere, presenting hospitality not just as a job, but as a lifestyle and an exciting journey. This philosophy is embedded in the way they operate, ensuring that by taking care of their people, they ultimately provide the best experience for their guests. Sushi Roller embraces this culture wholeheartedly, focusing on quality, creativity, and teamwork to deliver top-notch sushi experiences to customers.

The role of Sushi Chef and Sushi Roller at Sushi Roller offers a unique opportunity for skilled culinary professionals who are passionate about sushi craftsmanship. Those selected for the positions will enjoy a $1,000 signing bonus, split into two payments—$500 after 90 days and another $500 after six months of employment, emphasizing the company’s dedication to rewarding talent and loyalty. Candidates will become part of a fast-paced, dynamic team that values innovation, precision, and dedication to culinary excellence.

As a Sushi Chef or Roller, you will be expected to prepare the highest quality sushi with precision and creativity, ensuring every piece is crafted to delight the palate. This includes slicing fresh fish delicately and consistently adhering to standard portion sizes and quality benchmarks. Beyond just food preparation, the role demands leadership qualities such as training and guiding other team members in sushi culinary techniques and presentation standards. Maintaining a clean and sanitary workspace according to health regulations is paramount, emphasizing the company’s commitment to safety and quality.

This position is ideal for professionals with a minimum of two years of kitchen or line cook experience and at least one year of sushi-specific experience. It requires a team player with positive energy, good communication skills, and the flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays. Physical stamina is necessary as the job involves constant standing and some physical exertion. The company offers competitive salary and benefit packages, making it a compelling choice for culinary artists seeking growth and a rewarding career in hospitality.

Working at Sushi Roller under the Indigo Road Hospitality Group umbrella means more than just taking on a job—it means joining a community committed to innovation and excellence in hospitality. Employees benefit from internal growth opportunities and are supported by a culture that prioritizes employee welfare and career advancement. If you have a passion for sushi and are ready to contribute your skills in a vibrant, collaborative environment, this role is an excellent fit.
