Job Requirements

  • Minimum two years experience in kitchen preparation and line cook experience
  • positive energy and team player attitude
  • ability to speak, read and understand basic cooking directions
  • effective communication skills
  • flexible schedule availability
  • physical ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, push, pull, or lift as required
  • adherence to all kitchen and health safety protocols

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum two years experience in kitchen preparation and line cooking
  • strong knowledge of sushi preparation and culinary techniques
  • ability to train and guide other kitchen staff
  • excellent attention to detail and quality control
  • effective communication skills with managers, employees, and guests
  • flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
  • ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards

Job Duties

  • Accurately and efficiently prepare the highest quality of sushi for guests
  • compile consistently with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, and quality standards
  • provide training and guidance to other kitchen members on sushi culinary procedures and plating
  • prepare and present all food items per sushi outlet standards
  • maintain a clean and sanitary workstation in compliance with health regulations
  • properly close the kitchen following the closing checklist
  • promptly report product shortages, equipment problems, or food quality issues to the Chef
