Job Description
Sushi Roller is a vibrant and innovative restaurant that embodies the essence of Japanese cuisine, specializing in sushi preparation and presentation. This establishment is part of The Indigo Road Hospitality Group (IRHG), a renowned leader in the hospitality industry known for its commitment to excellence and employee wellbeing. Founded in 2009 by Steve Palmer, IRHG prides itself on fostering a supportive and dynamic work environment where hospitality is viewed not just as a job but as a family, a lifestyle, and an exciting journey. With over 30 locations and a strong emphasis on internal growth opportunities, the group aims to create enriching experiences for both employees and guests alike.
At Sushi Roller, the dedication to quality and creativity is paramount. The restaurant is actively seeking experienced Sushi Chefs and Sushi Rollers to join its passionate team. This role is central to delivering the highest standards in sushi craftsmanship by preparing exquisite dishes that tantalize the taste buds and enhance the dining experience. Candidates will enjoy a $1,000 signing bonus split into two payments: $500 after 90 days of employment and an additional $500 after six months, reflecting the company's commitment to attracting top culinary talent.
Sushi Rollers are the culinary artists behind every piece of nigiri and sushi roll, ensuring that each item is prepared with precision and passion. Beyond mere food preparation, the role involves a meticulous attention to detail, adhering strictly to standardized portion sizes, cooking methods, and quality controls. As part of the Kitchen Brigade, Sushi Rollers are also responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in accordance with health regulations and for assisting in training and guiding less experienced kitchen staff. The job requires a blend of creativity, speed, and efficiency within a fast-paced environment, making it ideal for professionals who thrive under pressure but prioritize quality and guest satisfaction.
The Indigo Road Hospitality Group's ethos of "Hospitality Starts Here" highlights the profound connection between employee care and guest services. This philosophy is embedded deeply within Sushi Roller's everyday operations, offering team members not just competitive salaries and benefits but a chance to be part of a hospitality revolution. Employees are encouraged to grow professionally, supported by a culture that values heart, respect, and dedication.
This role requires individuals who are energetic, team-oriented, and capable of communicating effectively across departments. A flexible schedule that accommodates days, nights, weekends, and holidays is essential, along with physical stamina to meet the demands of standing, walking, and other movements necessary in a busy kitchen environment. With a focus on consistent product quality, safety, and teamwork, Sushi Roller offers a rewarding career path for sushi professionals eager to contribute to a respected and expanding brand in the restaurant industry.
