Kura Sushi is seeking passionate and dedicated Line Cooks and Prep Cooks to join their team at the Lawrenceville location. This role is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic about food, culture, and the art of sushi making. As part of the Kura Krew, team members are valued for their commitment to preparing fresh, tasty, and quality food that adheres to Kura Sushi’s high standards. The position offers both full-time and part-time opportunities, providing flexible scheduling that accommodates days, nights, weekends, and holidays. The hourly wage for this role is $16.29 plus tips, which can significantly increase total earnings. Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to work full-time or part-time schedules including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Eagerness to work in a team environment
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
- Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and food safety
- Flexibility to adapt to restaurant needs and shifts
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in a food preparation or line cook role preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new culinary techniques
- Basic knife skills beneficial
Job Duties
- Prepare fresh and quality sushi and other food items according to Kura standards
- Maintain organized and clean workstations complying with food safety standards
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operation
- Multi-task effectively during high volume periods
- Learn and apply sushi preparation techniques with enthusiasm
- Uphold restaurant cleanliness and sanitation policies
- Assist in inventory management and food preparation as needed
