We are currently seeking an energetic and dedicated Lead Server to join our hospitality team. This pivotal role is designed for a motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about customer service and team leadership. As a Lead Server, you will oversee the entire dining service experience, ensuring that guests receive top-tier hospitality from beginning to end. Your leadership will inspire and motivate the serving team to uphold our high standards of service, food safety, and sanitation protocols. Acting as a key communicator between the kitchen and front-of-house staff, you will coordinate service flow, manage guest relations, and maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat visits.

The Lead Server is responsible for coordinating table assignments, managing reservations through platforms such as OpenTable, and overseeing seating arrangements to optimize the dining room layout and service efficiency. You will ensure strict adherence to food handling, sanitation, and safety regulations to maintain our commitment to health standards. Additionally, the role involves upselling menu items by leveraging your culinary knowledge and sales techniques to enhance guest satisfaction and boost restaurant revenue.

Operational duties include overseeing Point of Sale (POS) systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate order entry, billing, and cash handling. The Lead Server also assists with food preparation and plating when needed, supporting kitchen staff during peak times and helping maintain smooth service operations. Managing guest relations is a critical component, requiring you to address any concerns promptly and ensure a positive dining experience that fosters guest loyalty.

The role includes maintaining cleanliness standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and supporting sanitation practices in food service zones. You will also support training initiatives for new team members, guiding them through food service procedures, POS usage, and exemplary customer service techniques. Collaboration with management on inventory control, food safety compliance, and overall restaurant operations will further strengthen your leadership within the team.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience in food service roles such as server or host/hostess
  • Previous experience supervising or leading a team
  • Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS
  • Knowledge of food handling procedures and safety regulations
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to handle challenging situations gracefully
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience in fine dining or upscale restaurant environments
  • Strong background in food service roles such as server or host/hostess
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with experience supervising or leading a team of servers or restaurant staff
  • Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS
  • Experience with OpenTable is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of food handling procedures, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage guest relations effectively
  • Culinary experience or kitchen familiarity preferred
  • Ability to manage time efficiently during high-volume periods
  • Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and inventory management

Job Duties
