Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in food service roles such as server or host/hostess
- Previous experience supervising or leading a team
- Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and safety regulations
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to handle challenging situations gracefully
- Basic math skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience in fine dining or upscale restaurant environments
- Strong background in food service roles such as server or host/hostess
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience supervising or leading a team of servers or restaurant staff
- Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS
- Experience with OpenTable is a plus
- Strong knowledge of food handling procedures, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage guest relations effectively
- Culinary experience or kitchen familiarity preferred
- Ability to manage time efficiently during high-volume periods
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and inventory management
Job Duties
- Lead and motivate the serving team to deliver outstanding guest experiences with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Coordinate table assignments, reservations, and seating arrangements using OpenTable or similar reservation management systems
- Ensure all food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols are strictly followed in accordance with health regulations
- Upsell menu items effectively by leveraging culinary knowledge and sales techniques to enhance guest satisfaction and restaurant revenue
- Oversee POS operations such as Aloha POS and Micros POS systems for accurate order entry, billing, and cash handling
- Assist with food preparation and plating when necessary, supporting kitchen staff during busy periods
- Manage guest relations by addressing concerns promptly, ensuring a positive dining experience from arrival to departure
