Job Duties
- prepare and serve hand rolls made with premium ingredients focusing on simplicity freshness flavor while making sure the nori stays crispy
- engage with guests at the sushi bar explaining the menu taking orders and providing a friendly and educational experience while preparing hand rolls in front of them
- ensure consistency in the preparation and presentation of each hand roll adhering to established restaurant standards
- maintain the cleanliness and organization of the hand roll bar and workspace at all times including tools and utensils
- monitor the freshness and quality of fish and other ingredients ensuring all products meet high standards of quality and safety
- work efficiently to serve customers in a timely manner especially during peak hours without sacrificing quality
- collaborate with the kitchen staff and other chefs to ensure smooth operations and quick delivery of orders
- adhere to all food safety hygiene and sanitation protocols in compliance with local health regulations
- assist in restocking and maintaining ingredient inventory to ensure seamless service throughout shifts
- contribute to menu development by suggesting new hand roll combinations and seasonal specials
- perform other duties as assigned
