Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum two years of kitchen experience required
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to handle knives safely
- Ability to work with various seafood and food products
- Ability to bend and kneel

- Ability to maneuver in a busy kitchen space

Job Qualifications

- Japanese cuisine knowledge welcomed but not required

Job Duties
- Prepare, assemble, present, and explain hand rolls to seating customers
- Ensure quality of food and accuracy before food leaves the kitchen
- Know the entire menu thoroughly and properly
- Minimize waste of food and kitchen items
- Make and prepare hand rolls, sashimi, and other food items
- Prepare rice according to specific process and recipe
- Oversee inventory and ensure order accuracy
- Contribute to kitchen personnel training
- Perform side jobs including cleaning work stations and food storage
- Abide by all federal, state, and local labor and health safety laws
