Tao Group Hospitality is a renowned leader in the luxury lifestyle and hospitality sectors, known for delivering distinctive culinary and premium entertainment experiences. The company operates a portfolio of dynamic restaurants, nightclubs, lounges, and daylife venues across the globe. Some of its most prominent brands include TAO, OMNIA, Marquee, LAVO, Beauty & Essex, Cathedrale, Little Sister, The Highlight Room, Sake No Hana, KOMA, Avenue, Fleur Room, JEWEL, and more. As part of Mohari Hospitality, an investment firm invested in luxury lifestyle and hospitality sectors, Tao Group Hospitality benefits from over 25 years of industry experience, continuously setting the standard for innovative and creative guest experiences.
The role of a Sushi Cook at Tao Group Hospitality is integral in maintaining the exceptional quality and consistency that the brand is known for. The position requires culinary expertise, particularly in sushi preparation, to ensure all food items meet company standards and exceed guest expectations. This role is crucial in creating a dining experience that aligns with Tao Group’s mission to reinvent hospitality with grace and sophistication. The Sushi Cook works closely with fellow team members and supervisors to maintain courteous and professional interactions, supporting a gracious and welcoming atmosphere for guests.
In this role, the Sushi Cook is responsible for anticipating and accommodating guests' needs, handling allergy and dietary restrictions with care, and accurately following orders from the POS system or expeditor. Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and station is paramount, as is adhering to Department of Health and company sanitation standards. The Sushi Cook must participate in all relevant training sessions and daily pre-service meetings to stay updated on procedures and standards. This position emphasizes teamwork, professionalism, and a positive attitude, ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently.
The environment demands physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume culinary setting, including operating under varying noise levels and potentially stressful conditions. The Sushi Cook should be able to push and lift up to 75 pounds, stand for extended periods, and adapt to irregular shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays. Adherence to the company’s dress and grooming standards is expected to maintain a professional image.
Employees benefit from a comprehensive package including medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) retirement plan with employer match, life and disability insurance, and ancillary insurance plans. Additional support programs include employee assistance, fertility and family-forming resources, pet insurance, and attractive employee discounts through the TAO Savings Marketplace. Time off is also provided to ensure a healthy balance between work and personal life.
This opportunity is ideal for individuals with previous sushi culinary experience, especially those who have worked in high-volume environments, and who are passionate about delivering exceptional hospitality experiences. Joining Tao Group Hospitality means being part of a forward-thinking company that values innovation, teamwork, and guest satisfaction at every level.
