The Sushi Cook position at Morimoto Asia is a full-time role that plays a pivotal part in delivering the restaurant's exceptional culinary offerings. This role involves preparing sushi dishes in accordance with established recipes and chef specifications, ensuring the highest standards of freshness and quality. The sushi cook will work closely with the kitchen team to maintain a smooth workflow, uphold stringent sanitation standards, and manage inventory. Job Requirements
- Minimum of two years of experience as a sushi cook or similar role
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for precise cutting and assembly of sushi
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Capacity to work in a hot and fast-paced kitchen environment
- Willingness to work days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of experience as a sushi cook or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of sushi preparation techniques
