With an African-inspired theme, the resorts provide world-class dining options, luxurious spas, exhilarating entertainment, and state-of-the-art convention centers, positioning them as leading destinations within the hospitality and resort industry. The company is dedicated to fostering a welcoming environment where guests, associates, and communities are treated like family. This core value is encapsulated in their company Promise to "Lead with Love," which emphasizes caring deeply, giving back generously, and making every individual feel valued. Kalahari Resorts also demonstrates a strong commitment to social responsibility through its partnership with charity: water, aiming to bring clean drinking water to one million people in Africa.

The Sushi Cook position at Kalahari Resorts is integral to the Double Cut Steakhouse dining experience, which is part of the company's upscale culinary offerings. This role involves preparing high-quality sushi dishes using a variety of raw fish and ingredients with precision and care. The Sushi Cook is responsible for mastering traditional Japanese fish cutting techniques and ensuring that food safety, proper storage, and sanitation procedures are followed meticulously. Beyond the technical skills, this role requires exceptional knife skills, speed, safety, and attention to detail to craft visually appealing and delicious sushi. The position is embedded within the leadership team, where the Sushi Cook is expected to embody the values of collaboration, respect, and service, and to contribute to a positive work environment by supporting and inspiring fellow associates. This leadership aspect of the role aligns with Kalahari's overarching philosophy of leading with love, which fosters a culture of growth and extraordinary customer service.

This employment opportunity is perfect for candidates with a minimum of one year of experience as a Sushi Cook, who thrive in high-pressure, fast-paced environments and are adaptable to changing priorities. The company values knowledge of Japanese cuisine and expects the successful candidate to demonstrate a leadership style that reflects collaboration and respect. The role promises career growth opportunities with internal promotion, competitive benefits, and the chance to be part of an award-winning and innovative hospitality company. Locations for this position include Wisconsin Dells, WI; Sandusky, OH; Pocono Manor, PA; Round Rock, TX; and Spotsylvania County, VA, making it a versatile opportunity for those interested in working in vibrant resort destinations.
