Delano Miami Beach is a renowned luxury hotel set to re-open its doors in early 2026 following an extensive renovation and redevelopment led by Ennismore in partnership with Cain International. This iconic hotel will blend historic charm with contemporary luxury, creating an unparalleled hospitality experience that honors the original visionary concept while introducing modern enhancements. With 171 exquisitely designed rooms and a variety of distinctive food and beverage venues, Delano Miami Beach aims to re-establish itself as a flagship destination in luxury lifestyle hospitality. One of the unique features of this reimagined property includes the preservation of its famous walk-in pool alongside the unveiling of a new amenity deck pool offering stunning ocean views that elevate the guest's relaxation and leisure experience.
As the Delano Miami Beach prepares for its grand re-opening, it seeks a dedicated Sushi Cook to join its culinary team. This role is ideal for a culinary professional passionate about Japanese cuisine, particularly sushi preparation, and eager to contribute to a high-volume, luxury hospitality environment. Reporting to the Chef de Cuisine, the Sushi Cook will be responsible for the seamless preparation, execution, and presentation of a wide array of sushi and Japanese-inspired dishes that meet the highest standards of quality and artistry. The position demands a meticulous and disciplined individual who can maintain consistent execution while upholding stringent food safety and sanitation standards.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2-3 years experience as a Sushi Cook or Chef de Partie in a high end restaurant
- Strong knife skills and technical sushi knowledge
- Strong leadership skills and ability to mentor and energize a diverse team
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work under time constraints
- Proven team leader with high energy and motivation
- Intermediate to proficient understanding of computer systems such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to stand or walk eight hours per shift
- Physical ability to twist, tow, bend, reach, climb and carry objects
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Sushi Cook or Chef de Partie in a high end restaurant
- Strong knife skills and technical sushi knowledge
- Must have strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor and energize a diverse team of culinary professionals
- Must have excellent organizational skills, ability to function under time constraints, expedite and meet deadlines with attention to detail
- Proven team leader with a high level of energy and motivation with a proven track record of living the companys values
- An intermediate to proficient understanding of computer systems such as Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook is preferred
- Enter and locate work related information using computers and/or point of sale systems
- Possess a gracious, friendly, and fun demeanor
- Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and have a high level attention to detail
- Must be able observant and quick to respond to various situations productive working relationships with other employees and departments
- Ability to work independently and to partner with others to promote an environment of teamwork
- Must be able to stand or walk a minimum eight-hour shift
- while also multitasking and handling stressful situations
- Must be able to twist, tow (push or pull), reach, bend climb and carry objects as necessary
- Must have excellent communication skills and be able to read, write, speak and understand English
- All team members must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
Job Duties
- Prepare sushi, sashimi, nigiri rolls, and specialty items with consistency and precision
- Maintain mise en place and ensure station readiness for service
- Follow standardized recipes and presentation guidelines
- Monitor product freshness, quality, and proper storage
- Execute orders in a timely manner while maintaining impeccable standards
- Own and manage the sushi station during service
- Coordinate with Sous Chef, and CDC on daily features and specials
