Job Requirements

  • Technical, trade, or vocational school diploma
  • at least 3 years of related work experience
  • no supervisory experience required
  • willingness to comply with company policies and safety standards
  • physical ability to perform extended standing, sitting, and walking
  • ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds

Job Duties

  • Prepare special meals or substitute products
  • regulate the temperature of ovens, grills, and roasters
  • thaw food properly by removing it from the freezer and refrigeration
  • ensure correct portioning, distribution, and dressing of food
  • maintain accurate food records
  • monitor food quality and quantity prepared
  • communicate necessary assistance during busy periods
  • report excess food products to the head chef for daily specials
  • inform food and beverage service staff about rejected products and available specials
  • ensure the quality of food products
  • prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklists
  • prepare cold dishes
  • assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees as a role model
  • comply with all company safety and policy procedures
  • report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to management
  • participate in safety trainings and certifications
  • maintain professional appearance and adherence to uniform standards
  • protect company assets and confidential information
  • anticipate and attend to guest service needs
  • communicate clearly and professionally with others
  • cultivate and maintain positive working relationships to support team goals
  • ensure compliance with quality expectations and standards
  • perform physical tasks such as standing, sitting, walking for prolonged periods, stretching, bending, twisting, and lifting up to 25 pounds
  • perform other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors
