Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Food safety certification
  • Minimum six months of similar or related experience
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
  • Ability to work in environments exposed to raw fish, dust, noise, and temperature extremes
  • Must be punctual and reliable
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Food safety certification
  • Six months or more of similar or related experience in food service
  • Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions
  • Basic math skills including addition and subtraction
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions
  • Strong customer service and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions
  • Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner
  • Makes an effort to learn customers’ names and to address them by name whenever possible
  • Assists customers by escorting them to products, securing out of reach items, loading/unloading heavy products, passing customer suggestions
  • Answers telephone promptly and takes customer orders
  • Takes customer orders at the Chinese Express counter
  • Works with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment
  • Understands and practices proper sanitation procedures and ensures work area is clean
  • Reviews the status and appearance of food for freshness
  • Ensures an adequate food supply is ready and on hand
  • Anticipates product needs daily
  • Prepares, finishes, replenishes product as necessary
  • Pulls product from cooler/freezer for preparation
  • Checks in product and puts product away
  • Removes trash in a timely manner
  • Adheres to company policies and store guidelines
  • Reports to work on time and when scheduled
