Hy-Vee is actively seeking a Sushi Clerk to join the Hy-Chi department, a vital area responsible for the preparation and sale of Asian cuisine products, including freshly made sushi. As a Sushi Clerk at Hy-Vee, you will play a key role in fulfilling customer orders accurately while ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are strictly met. You will be responsible for ordering, receiving, labeling, dating, and putting away products to maintain stock levels efficiently. The position requires you to maintain a clean and organized work area while also collaborating with team members to achieve seamless customer service. Beyond the technical tasks, you will be expected to create a positive shopping experience by delivering friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful service. The Sushi Clerk also answers customer inquiries and takes orders at the Chinese Express counter, fostering a useful connection between the store’s food services and its patrons.

Physically, this job requires the stamina to lift or move items weighing up to 50 pounds and perform various activities such as climbing, stooping, or reaching.
