Job Description
Flagship Restaurant Group is a prominent player in the hospitality industry known for its dynamic and innovative approach to restaurant management. As a company, Flagship Restaurant Group prides itself on creating unique culinary experiences by offering a diverse range of sophisticated and modern dining establishments. Each restaurant within the group reflects a commitment to quality, creativity, and guest satisfaction, providing work environments where team members can thrive and grow both professionally and personally. The company emphasizes inclusivity and respect, fostering a culture where every team member and guest feels they truly belong regardless of language, race, sexual orientation, or culture. This welcoming environment is fundamental to Flagship’s mission to empower its employees through meaningful career paths, comprehensive training programs, and supportive leadership.
The role open at Flagship Restaurant Group is for a full-time Sushi Chef, with preferred availability in the afternoon to evening, including mandatory Monday and Tuesday shifts. The position offers a competitive wage range of $18 to $20 per hour plus tips, reflecting the company’s recognition of skilled culinary work. While prior sushi chef experience or similar kitchen roles is preferred, it is not required thanks to Flagship’s thorough training program designed to equip candidates with strong knife skills, attention to detail, and the eagerness to learn and excel in sushi preparation and service. The Sushi Chef will be integral to the team, responsible for preparing sushi, sashimi, rolls, and other menu items with precision according to established recipes, presentation standards, and restaurant guidelines.
Attention to quality is paramount as the role entails ensuring all ingredients, particularly raw seafood, rice, and garnishes, are fresh, safely handled, and stored properly. Maintaining hygienic and organized workstations throughout prep and service times is equally important, alongside adherence to food safety, allergy awareness, sanitation, and cross-contact prevention standards. Collaboration with kitchen and service teams ensures timely delivery of dishes and a seamless guest experience. Additional responsibilities include inventory communication, assisting in station setup and breakdown, and providing friendly, professional customer interactions.
Working at Flagship Restaurant Group means becoming part of a larger mission where employee milestones and achievements are celebrated openly and generously. Full-time employees can access a comprehensive benefits package that includes dental, vision, and life insurance coverage, as well as enjoying employee dining discounts across the corporation’s portfolio of restaurants. Flagship is also an Equal Opportunity Employer and participates in the E-Verify program, underlining its commitment to fair hiring practices and workforce inclusion.
This Sushi Chef opportunity is perfect for culinary enthusiasts passionate about sushi artistry who value working in a fast-paced, vibrant, and supportive restaurant environment. With flexible schedules that include evenings, weekends, and holidays, candidates can expect a dynamic role grounded in teamwork, continuous learning, and customer satisfaction, framed within a company culture that values diversity and professional growth. Flagship Restaurant Group invites motivated individuals ready to advance their careers in hospitality while contributing to memorable dining experiences to join their team.
