The Sushi Chef role at Epic is a coveted position within their culinary team, specifically within their venue called Chopsticks. Job Requirements

  • At least 2 years of sushi preparation experience
  • International experience preferred but not required
  • Fine dining or large-volume experience preferred
  • Eligible to work in the US without sponsorship
  • Relocation to Madison WI area with relocation assistance available
  • COVID-19 vaccination

Job Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of sushi preparation experience
  • Experience in menu development
  • Ability to mentor and train junior staff
  • Knowledge of international Southeast Asian cuisines preferred
  • Familiarity with fine dining or large-volume food service environments
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene

Job Duties

  • Prepare and roll sushi according to quality and presentation standards
  • Develop and contribute to the sushi menu creation
  • Mentor and train culinary team members on sushi preparation techniques
  • Ensure the use of fresh, high-quality ingredients
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station
