We are currently looking for an experienced and skilled Sushi Chef to join our fast-paced and dynamic team. This role is crucial in maintaining the high standards of quality and presentation that IRHG is known for. The successful candidate will have a passion for sushi preparation and the culinary arts, especially in crafting beautiful and delicious sushi dishes that delight guests. Key responsibilities include efficiently preparing sushi to exacting standards, ensuring portion control, and maintaining kitchen hygiene and safety. The Sushi Chef will also play an important role in training and guiding other culinary staff, helping maintain consistency and excellence across the sushi station. This is an excellent opportunity for those who want to grow their culinary skills in an environment that fosters teamwork and values creativity. We are currently offering a $1,000 signing bonus for qualified candidates, split between $500 after 90 days of employment and another $500 after six months, reflecting our commitment to attracting and retaining top talent. Job Requirements
- Minimum two years' experience in kitchen preparation and line cook experience
- Positive energy and readiness to assist fellow support staff and work as a team player
- Must be able to speak, read and understand basic cooking directions
- Ability to communicate effectively with managers, employees, and all guests
- Flexible schedule to work days, nights, weekends and holidays
- Ability to work Sunday 10am to 4pm or 4pm to 11pm, Monday 2pm to 11pm, Tuesday 2pm to 11pm, Wednesday 2pm to 11pm
- Constant standing and walking with occasional stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling or lifting
Job Qualifications
- Minimum two years' experience in kitchen preparation and line cook experience

Job Duties
- Accurately and efficiently prepare the highest quality of sushi for our guests
- Provide training and guidance to other members regarding sushi culinary cooking procedures and plating
- Prepare and present all food items, hot and cold per sushi outlet standards and norms
- Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation area including tables, shelves, refrigeration equipment, and adhere to all DHEC regulations for cleanliness and sanitation
- Close the kitchen properly and follow the closing checklist for kitchen stations
- Promptly report all product shortages, equipment problems or food quality issues to Chef
