  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven sushi preparation experience
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • Reliable and trustworthy with strong work ethic

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a sushi chef or in a similar culinary role
  • Knowledge of traditional Japanese cuisine and sushi preparation
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Leadership or kitchen management experience preferred
  • Culinary degree or certification is a plus

Job Duties

  • Prepare traditional and innovative sushi dishes maintaining high quality and presentation standards
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to execute the kappo-style dining experience
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the sushi preparation area
  • Manage inventory and order supplies as needed
  • Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Engage positively with guests to enhance their dining experience
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff
