Job Description
The Indigo Road Hospitality Group (IRHG) is a renowned hospitality company established in 2009 by Steve Palmer, dedicated to creating an environment where people come first. IRHG does not just operate as a typical restaurant group; it is a family, a lifestyle, and an exciting journey that redefines the hospitality industry. With over 30 locations, the company offers a dynamic and expansive network that values internal growth opportunities alongside a supportive and passionate work environment. Hospitality at IRHG goes beyond a job; it is about taking care of their team members so they, in turn, can provide exceptional care to their guests. This unique culture has positioned IRHG as an industry leader committed to changing the hospitality landscape forever.
The role of Sushi Chef at IRHG is an incredible opportunity for those who are not only skilled in sushi preparation but also passionate about culinary excellence and creativity. The position offers a $1,000 signing bonus split into two payments: $500 after 90 days of employment and another $500 after six months, making it a lucrative offer for qualified candidates. As a Sushi Chef, you will be entrusted with the responsibility of preparing the highest quality sushi by delicately slicing fresh fish and crafting each nigiri with meticulous attention to flavor and presentation. You will work in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating expertise in both traditional techniques and innovative culinary methods. Your role will include guiding and training your team members, ensuring that all sushi items meet the company’s quality and portion standards, and maintaining a sanitized and orderly workstation in compliance with DHEC regulations.
Beyond cooking, you will take pride in supporting the overall kitchen operation, assisting with closing procedures, and promptly reporting any shortages or equipment issues. Working at IRHG means being part of a team that thrives on positive energy, collaboration, and shared success. The company fosters a workplace where communication is valued, and each individual's contribution is recognized and rewarded. The Sushi Chef role requires a flexible schedule to accommodate shifts during days, nights, weekends, and holidays, demanding physical endurance for standing, walking, and occasional lifting. IRHG promises not only competitive salary and benefits but also a rewarding and fast-paced work environment where your passion for sushi can truly flourish. This position is ideal for culinary professionals eager to elevate their careers within an innovative and supportive hospitality group.
