Job Requirements

  • Part time availability with open shifts
  • 1 or more years of experience working in high-volume and/or guest-facing food service preferred
  • Knowledge in proper food and drink handling and storage
  • Ability to maintain safe and sanitary workstations
  • Able to work in a noisy and distracting environment
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with customers
  • Capability to distinguish different tastes such as sweet and bitter
  • Physical ability to maneuver inside the restaurant and operate necessary equipment

Job Qualifications

  • 1-2 years culinary experience or culinary education preferred
  • Knowledge in proper food and drink handling and storage
  • Experience working in high-volume and/or guest-facing food service preferred
  • Ability to work in fast-paced restaurant environment
  • Commitment to food safety and sanitation standards
  • Excellent communication skills

Job Duties

  • Following company policies, state and food safety and sanitation standards
  • Maintaining clean and organized workstations by always practicing safe and sanitary food handling
  • Continued education surrounding Japanese cuisine and beverages
  • Additional duties may apply specific to each position
  • Work with kitchen and FOH teams to ensure consistent and timely preparation of ingredients and sushi bar menu items
  • Progress through three sushi stations: roll case, front case, and wheel
  • Interact with guests sitting at sushi bar, creating omakase experiences
