Job Requirements
- Part time availability with open shifts
- 1 or more years of experience working in high-volume and/or guest-facing food service preferred
- Knowledge in proper food and drink handling and storage
- Ability to maintain safe and sanitary workstations
- Able to work in a noisy and distracting environment
- Must be able to communicate effectively with customers
- Capability to distinguish different tastes such as sweet and bitter
- Physical ability to maneuver inside the restaurant and operate necessary equipment
Job Qualifications
- 1-2 years culinary experience or culinary education preferred
- Knowledge in proper food and drink handling and storage
- Experience working in high-volume and/or guest-facing food service preferred
- Ability to work in fast-paced restaurant environment
- Commitment to food safety and sanitation standards
- Excellent communication skills
Job Duties
- Following company policies, state and food safety and sanitation standards
- Maintaining clean and organized workstations by always practicing safe and sanitary food handling
- Continued education surrounding Japanese cuisine and beverages
- Additional duties may apply specific to each position
- Work with kitchen and FOH teams to ensure consistent and timely preparation of ingredients and sushi bar menu items
- Progress through three sushi stations: roll case, front case, and wheel
- Interact with guests sitting at sushi bar, creating omakase experiences
