Job Description

Glenmoor Country Club is a prestigious private club located in Colorado, renowned for its exceptional amenities, outstanding service, and commitment to providing an unparalleled member experience. The club features an array of facilities, including a championship golf course, luxurious dining options, and extensive recreational activities, creating a truly distinguished environment for its members and guests. Glenmoor's culinary department is dedicated to delivering high-quality food and beverage services, elevating the dining experience to new standards through creativity, precision, and exceptional presentation.

The role of Sushi Chef at Glenmoor Country Club is a vital position within the culinary and food and beverage departments. Reporting directly to the Executive Chef and Sous Chef, the Sushi Chef is entrusted with preparing and presenting a wide variety of sushi and Japanese-inspired dishes that meet and exceed Glenmoor's exacting culinary standards. This is a full-time, non-exempt position offering competitive hourly compensation in the range of $24.00 to $28.00 per hour, dependent on experience and qualifications.

The Sushi Chef position demands a blend of technical expertise, creativity, and exacting attention to detail to ensure that each dish not only tastes exquisite but also reflects the artistry and cultural authenticity of Japanese cuisine. Responsibilities include preparing classical sushi items such as nigiri, sashimi, and maki rolls, as well as specialty rolls, hand rolls, poke bowls, and other innovative menu offerings. The role is pivotal in maintaining the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation, especially given the club's ongoing clubhouse construction, which requires temporary kitchen operation within trailer and outdoor culinary workspaces.

This position involves working in collaboration with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to contribute to menu development, seasonal offerings, special dining events, and unique member experiences. The Sushi Chef must expertly manage ingredient selection, preparation, storage, and inventory control while minimizing waste and upholding food safety regulations, including allergen management protocols. Interaction with members and guests is an essential facet of the role, demanding professionalism and adaptability to accommodate dietary restrictions and preferences.

Glenmoor Country Club fosters a vibrant and professional kitchen culture focused on teamwork, growth, and culinary excellence. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating outstanding knife skills, precise preparation techniques, and a passion for sushi craftsmanship. This is a remarkable opportunity for a skilled culinary professional with sushi specialization to join a top-tier club, contribute to a dynamic culinary team, and deliver memorable dining experiences within a prestigious setting.
