We are currently seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Sushi Operations to oversee all six locations and elevate our sushi program to new heights. This full-time leadership role demands an individual with strong culinary management expertise and a background in high-end sushi preparation and operations. The director will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing rigorous quality controls while introducing fresh, innovative concepts to keep our menu exciting and competitive. They will act as the primary leader for the sushi teams across multiple locations, coordinating efforts and fostering a collaborative, high-performance environment. The ideal candidate will bring not only excellent management skills but also a deep network of top-tier sushi chefs, strategically deploying talent to ensure consistent excellence and innovation throughout the brand.
Key responsibilities include developing operational strategies to optimize sushi production, quality, and efficiency, overseeing comprehensive training programs, managing supplier relationships for premium ingredient sourcing, and driving initiatives to expand our market presence both locally and globally. This role also involves continuous process improvements to enhance workflow, reduce waste, and maintain product consistency. The director will collaborate closely with senior leadership on project management tasks including new product rollouts and operational expansions. Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality, culinary arts, business administration, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years experience in sushi or culinary operations management
- Proven leadership experience managing multi-location culinary teams
- Strong understanding of sushi preparation techniques and food safety standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel between multiple restaurant locations
- Proficiency in project management and strategic planning
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate with suppliers and vendors
Job Qualifications
