Job Description
Delaware North Gaming is a renowned global leader in hospitality and gaming operations, with a rich history spanning over 100 years. The company is family-owned and dedicated to providing exceptional guest experiences across a wide range of venues, including iconic sports arenas, national parks, casinos, and more. Delaware North's hospitality operations cover various sectors such as restaurants, hotels, sports, gaming, operations, and retail. The company invests heavily in its workforce, offering diverse career paths, training and development opportunities, and comprehensive benefits to support both personal and professional growth.
Daytona Beach Racing & Card Club, located in Daytona Beach, Florida, is part of the Delaware North family. This vibrant establishment features a 50-table poker room, extensive simulcast wagering options with more than 250 televisions, and a full-service restaurant, positioning it as a premier destination for gaming and entertainment enthusiasts. As a victim of the company’s commitment to excellence, the Daytona Poker Room is currently seeking a full-time Surveillance Officer to join their dedicated team.
The role of the Surveillance Officer is crucial to maintaining the safety and security of the entire property. This position involves conducting facility-wide surveillance camera operations to monitor staff, guests, and activities across all areas including gaming tables, cages, food and beverage spaces, and security areas. Surveillance Officers are responsible for ensuring all cameras and related computer systems are operational at all times, adhering strictly to state racing and gaming regulations and policies, and maintaining confidentiality regarding all surveillance data. This role demands vigilance, discretion, and a strong ethical approach to handling sensitive information.
Working as a Surveillance Officer at Delaware North Gaming offers a fast-paced, collaborative work environment where team members are valued and supported. The position provides a competitive hourly wage of $17.00 and benefits from Delaware North’s inclusive benefits package designed to provide comfort, safety, and security to its employees. These benefits include weekly pay, training and development opportunities, employee discounts, flexible work schedules, health, dental, and vision insurance for eligible employees, a 401(k) plan with company match, paid vacation and holidays, paid parental bonding leave, employee assistance programs, and tuition and professional certification reimbursements.
The job typically requires working shifts that may span days, evenings, overnight, split shifts, holidays, and weekends. The role is physically accommodating but requires the ability to hear and speak clearly via two-way radio communication, the ability to sit for extended durations while monitoring surveillance equipment, and the capacity to lift and carry up to 30 pounds when necessary. This makes it a suitable opportunity for individuals who are comfortable working in a controlled, often dimly lit environment where their focus and attention to detail are paramount.
Delaware North is an equal opportunity employer, welcoming applicants without regard to race, color, religion, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, or other legally protected statuses. The company prides itself on its inclusive culture and commitment to diversity, making it an excellent employer for individuals seeking a supportive and forward-thinking workplace.
