The CVOR Surgical Technologist role at Intermountain Medical Center is a specialized and critical position within the operating room team, focusing on cardiovascular surgeries. This position operates under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and reports directly to Surgical Services management. The technologist plays an essential role in preparing and supporting the operating room during complex cardiovascular procedures, ensuring sterile techniques and surgical protocols are meticulously followed to provide exceptional patient outcomes. This full-time opportunity offers a variable schedule, typically 40 hours per week, with competitive compensation ranging from $35.60 to $54.93 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

In this highly dynamic and fast-paced environment, the CVOR Surgical Technologist is responsible for preparing surgical instruments, maintaining the sterile field, assisting surgeons during procedures, and supporting the overall surgical team to deliver seamless operative processes. The role requires extensive knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures and the flexibility to assume either specialty leadership or clinical expert responsibilities. As a specialty leader, the technologist oversees specialty areas, coordinates case flow, manages assignments, and facilitates staff training. As a clinical expert, they scrub high-acuity cases, mentor and train new caregivers, and assist with orientation.
