Support Staff Floater - Maintenance & Housekeeping: Full-Time

The daily duties of the Support Staff Floater include performing maintenance tasks such as repairing building and plant equipment, plumbing, and carpentry, as well as carrying out scheduled maintenance to prevent disruptions. Furthermore, the position requires managing kitchen safety standards, including food handling and hygiene compliance, and assisting with meal preparation based on weekly menus and special dietary needs. Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout the facility is another key responsibility, encompassing a variety of cleaning and sanitizing tasks that meet prescribed sanitary standards. The role demands the use of various hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment, highlighting the physical and technical nature of the job.

The work environment at Valley Hope requires flexibility to work non-typical hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with potential for overtime when necessary. Employees must be physically capable of extended standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 25 pounds, and performing various motions required to operate kitchen equipment and carry out cleaning and maintenance. This position requires a valid and unrestricted driver's license and current CPR certification or the ability to obtain it within 90 days of hire.
