The role of an Alamo Runner is central to supporting theater guests by focusing on food and beverage service. This position involves maintaining Alamo's high standards for hospitality and safety to ensure patrons enjoy a safe, clean, distraction-free, and enjoyable experience. The Alamo Runner will be responsible for tasks such as conducting food quality checks, delivering food and beverage orders accurately according to theater floor plans, and knowing the menu along with common allergens to take necessary safety precautions. Alcohol service is handled responsibly by this position, including ID verification and monitoring guest consumption in line with local and state laws.
In addition to direct guest service, the Alamo Runner supports theater operations by maintaining cleanliness throughout the venue, including the theater rooms, lobby, and restrooms. They also participate in opening and closing duties, ensuring the environment remains welcoming at all times. The role requires a cheerful and courteous attitude to foster positive interactions with guests and fellow teammates, while communicating effectively with production staff, greeters, and management.

Job Requirements
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays (minimum 3 days a week, at least one day being a weekend)
- ability to move with caution and work collaboratively in a loud, sometimes dark, fast-paced environment
- ability to bend, duck, crouch, walk up and down stairs, carry multiple plates or trays, and deliver food while limiting disruptions
- ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds at one time and repeatedly during entire shift
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
- ability to maintain physical stamina and coordination in a fast-paced setting

Job Qualifications
- Prior experience in hospitality or guest services
- prior food and beverage safety or handling experience
Job Duties
- Maintains and supports all company safety standards
- conducts quality food checks and delivers food and beverage orders to the correct seats consistent with venue theater floor maps
- knowledgeable of the Alamo menu and common allergens, takes necessary safety precautions as needed
- responsible for safe alcohol service, including checking IDs on drink delivery and monitoring guest consumption, following local and state regulations
- checks guest tickets to ensure they are in the correct seat
- maintains a cheerful, courteous disposition with guests and teammates, and communicates efficiently with production staff, greeters, managers, and guests
- anticipates guest needs and monitors notifications for guest requests
- focuses on supporting guests as needed while limiting disruptions
- responsible for theater, lobby, and restroom cleaning, as well as opening and closing duties as assigned, to maintain cleanliness standards across all high-touch areas
- provides support in identifying guest issues and reports them to the management team
- anticipates and maintains appropriate stocking levels of necessary supplies, completes prep and side work, and assists with additional operational tasks as needed for efficient service
- completes tasks with efficiency and a sense of urgency
- demonstrates strong teamwork skills
- knowledgeable of Alamo policies, procedures, and safety standards
