Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (AS) is currently seeking a Subcontract Manager 3 to join its Supply Chain team located onsite in Melbourne, Florida. This position offers a 9/80 work schedule, providing every other Friday off, and is ideal for individuals seeking a leadership role within a dynamic, fast-paced environment focused on cutting-edge defense technologies. The Subcontract Manager 3 is responsible for sourcing and procuring complex goods and services critical to US government programs, managing the entire subcontract lifecycle including proposal evaluation, negotiation, award, execution, administration, and closeout phases. In this role, the individual collaborates extensively with key stakeholders such as legal, contracts, finance, planning, operations, program management, engineering, and quality teams to ensure project success across cost, schedule, technical, and quality metrics.

The candidate will provide leadership and guidance to Subcontract Specialists and other managerial staff, serving as a subject matter expert on subcontract and supplier management procedures and compliance requirements. This opportunity requires independent work with minimal oversight, combined with the ability to influence and engage executive leadership daily.
