Job Description
The McNabb Center is a well-established behavioral health organization serving East Tennessee with a mission to improve the lives of the people they serve. With locations spread across multiple counties including Knox, Anderson, Hamblen, Sevier, Cocke, Hamilton, Blount, and McMinn, the McNabb Center is recognized for its commitment to community wellness, professional development, and quality care. As an NHSC-approved site, it offers opportunities for loan repayment and supports employees with a mission-driven culture in the behavioral health field. The Center places a strong emphasis on equal employment opportunities, prohibiting discrimination of any kind, and welcoming applicants from diverse backgrounds. It maintains a supportive and professional work environment where multidisciplinary collaboration is encouraged, helping staff at all levels grow and excel.
Currently, the McNabb Center is expanding its leadership team and inviting applications for supervisory roles including Program Coordinators and Team Leaders. These positions offer a chance to lead meaningful programs and mentor teams dedicated to delivering outstanding behavioral health services. Whether you possess a master’s level education or a bachelor’s degree with clinical experience, leadership roles are available to suit various skill sets and professional aspirations. Salaries and benefits are competitive, with opportunities to engage in clinical work, supervision, staff training, and program management.
Program Coordinators at the McNabb Center are expected to provide leadership for specific programs and supervise both Team Leaders and clinical or support staff. These coordinators are responsible for managing daily operations, including scheduling, training employees, managing staff performance, and ensuring accurate program reporting. They provide on-site and on-call clinical direction and may also maintain a limited clinical caseload. These positions typically require a master’s degree and offer a starting salary around $54,111 annually, though compensation depends on the client population, setting, education, licensure, and experience.
Team Leaders hold a dual role: they provide direct clinical services to clients while supervising front-line staff. Their responsibilities include hiring and onboarding new staff, conducting training, scheduling work shifts, and managing disciplinary actions. Team Leaders work closely within multidisciplinary teams to guarantee coordinated, quality care for program participants. Programs that require Team Leaders include the Katie Miller Residential Program, Crisis Services, Intensive Long-Term Services, and First Episode Psychosis. Salaries for team leaders range from $17.40 to $21.08 per hour for those with bachelor’s degrees and $51,711 to $61,133 annually for those with master’s degrees. Factors influencing pay include program specifics, client acuity, licensure credentials, and supervisory experience.
The McNabb Center invites those ready to advance their careers in leadership roles at its organization to apply and become part of a team dedicated to making a substantial impact in community health. Full-time and PRN positions are available based on program needs, and candidates must hold valid drivers’ licenses with reliable transportation. The Center prioritizes professional growth with clear development pathways and supports its staff through comprehensive benefits. Background checks, drug screening, driver’s license verification, and degree verifications are required as part of the hiring process. Certain programs may also require tuberculosis screening or testing.
By joining the McNabb Center, leaders will contribute to a supportive and mission-driven environment where their efforts enhance the behavioral health landscape in East Tennessee and offer meaningful opportunities to foster positive change in their communities.
