We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Surveillance Supervisor to oversee and coordinate surveillance operations during their assigned shift. This role is pivotal in maintaining the integrity and safety of the gaming environment by observing and recording gaming activities, ensuring adherence to internal control standards and regulatory policies, and supporting the Hard Rock's service excellence. The Surveillance Supervisor is responsible for supervising the surveillance team, enforcing departmental rules, maintaining surveillance records including reports, logs, and video files, and promptly reporting irregular activities to the Director of Surveillance.

Successful candidates will enforce compliance with Virginia Lottery regulations and internal accounting controls, safeguard company assets, and promote a secure environment for all guests and team members. This position requires a high degree of vigilance, integrity, and the ability to operate sophisticated surveillance equipment while managing a spectrum of responsibilities from active observation to administrative reporting. Candidates must be able to work flexible shifts including holidays and weekends, reflecting the 24/7 nature of gaming operations.

The ideal candidate brings prior experience in casino surveillance, a comprehensive knowledge of casino games, regulatory compliance, and internal control procedures. This is a hands-on leadership position that demands clear communication skills, problem-solving ability, and the capacity to direct and develop a team effectively. Applicants must be at least 21 years old and successfully pass background and drug screening tests. Licenses and certifications as required by federal, state, and Virginia Lottery authorities must be maintained.

Job Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum two years of surveillance experience preferred
  • Must obtain and maintain all licenses/certifications per Federal, State, and Virginia Lottery
  • Must successfully pass background check
  • Must successfully pass drug screening
  • Must be twenty-one years of age
  • Must be able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts
  • Prior experience in the gaming industry required
  • Must possess and maintain excellent working knowledge of all casino games, accounting and control procedures, and state regulations

Job Duties

  • Responsible for Surveillance department during assigned shift
  • Ensure that reports, logs, and video files are maintained
  • Report all observations and recordings of irregular activities to the Director - Surveillance
  • Demonstrate knowledge of operations policies and procedures
  • Observe closed circuit TV monitors
  • Uphold surveillance policies related to accounting and internal control procedures
  • Ensure compliance with Virginia Lottery
  • Safeguard company assets
  • Enforce Surveillance Department rules
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
