Job Requirements
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
- Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, which includes a drug screening
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic or vocational qualification
- Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 0 to 5 years)
- High or secondary school diploma or equivalent and relevant formal academic or vocational qualification
- 1+ year of leadership responsibility
- Ability to lift 40 lbs. without assistance
- Standing for full shift
- Able to work in fluctuating temperatures (hot/cold)
- Some degree of PPE (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.) required
- Able to prioritize assignments and work within potentially stressful deadlines
- Exposure to biological fluids with potential exposure to infectious organisms
- Must be available for second shift Tuesday-Saturday, 4:00PM-12:30AM ET
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic or vocational qualification
- Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 0 to 5 years)
- High or secondary school diploma or equivalent and relevant formal academic or vocational qualification
- 1+ year of leadership responsibility
- Possess basic understanding of GLP/GCP
- Familiar with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Power Point
- Familiar with environmental monitoring systems
- Effective time management and project management skills
- Have good leadership abilities
- Detail-oriented mindset
- Problem solving/troubleshooting abilities
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Able to work in a collaborative team environment
Job Duties
- Perform any or all Sample Coordinator functions, including oversight and execution of a variety of complex standard and sample tasks (receipt, accessioning, routing, storage, aliquoting, shipping, discard, destruction, etc.) in support of the Sample Management department
- Oversee the scheduling of sample coordinators and assist management with departmental oversight
- Act as back-up in the absence of management and serve as a technical liaison for project-specific sample management procedures
- Train, mentor, and assess the needs of the sample management staff
- Manage staff training documents, assessments, and records
- Respond to environmental unit alarms and participate in on-call responsibilities
- Perform work assignments accurately, timely, and safely
