Their dedication to excellence, community values, and continuous improvement establishes CHRISTUS as a trusted health care provider and employer. They emphasize a collaborative work environment that fosters professional growth, operational efficiency, and clinical excellence in keeping with their mission to extend the healing ministry of Jesus Christ.
The role of RN Supervisor at CHRISTUS Health is a critical leadership position responsible for overseeing nursing care delivery within assigned units and ensuring that patients receive safe, effective, and efficient care. This full-time position involves supervising nursing staff across multiple shifts, managing clinical and operational activities 24 hours a day. The RN Supervisor supports the Director in analyzing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing programs and processes that enhance health outcomes and service quality. This role requires active participation in strategic business planning and operational improvements to successfully integrate clinical and financial objectives.
Key responsibilities include ensuring adherence to nursing policies and standards, monitoring patient outcomes and nursing care effectiveness, and fostering an environment focused on continuous quality improvement and patient safety. The RN Supervisor also leads nursing teams, identifying training and development needs to enhance staff performance and satisfaction. Collaboration with other clinical and ancillary departments is essential to meet organizational quality, safety, and service excellence goals. The position demands strong leadership competencies such as self-leadership, team leadership, and strategic oversight to maintain high standards of care.
Candidates must be prepared to relocate as needed for this position. The role requires a valid RN license in the state of employment or a compact state, along with current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. While a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing is preferred, candidates with significant clinical experience in relevant settings and previous supervisory or healthcare management experience will be valued. This opportunity offers a dynamic work environment focused on career development, operational leadership, and the delivery of compassionate, patient-focused nursing care within a reputable health system.
