The role of RN Supervisor within CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital - New Braunfels is a pivotal leadership position entrusted with overseeing the delivery of superior nursing care across assigned units. This position entails direct responsibility for ensuring nursing activities align with the hospital's high standards for safety, efficiency, and patient satisfaction. The RN Supervisor works closely with the Director to analyze, plan, implement, evaluate, and communicate nursing department programs aimed at improving quality and integrating comprehensive services. This role demands a blend of clinical acumen, leadership skills, and operational oversight to foster an environment that continuously enhances performance in operational, financial, and clinical domains.
Serving as the primary nursing leader for assigned units, the RN Supervisor ensures that care delivery meets established quality and productivity benchmarks while effectively managing human and financial resources. This role requires adept collaboration with various clinical and ancillary teams to achieve organizational goals related to quality, safety measures, community engagement, and service excellence. The Supervisor is charged with managing daily nursing department functions on a 24-hour basis, including staff supervision, performance feedback, customer satisfaction efforts, and professional development support. Essential duties include implementing safe nursing care programs, maintaining policy adherence, monitoring patient outcomes, and overseeing team performance to identify and address training and development needs. This full-time position operates on a five-day workweek of eight-hour shifts and is crucial for sustaining crisis response and quality standards in patient care at the hospital.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
- Two years of clinical patient care experience in a relevant setting
- Previous lead or supervisor experience overseeing work of assigned units preferred
- Previous healthcare management experience preferred
- BLS certification required
- RN license in state of employment or compact
