Job Description

CHRISTUS Health is a faith-based, not-for-profit health system dedicated to delivering compassionate, high-quality healthcare services through its extensive network of hospitals, clinics, and outpatient facilities. With a mission centered on promoting health and wellness in the communities it serves, CHRISTUS Health prioritizes patient-centered care, innovation, and operational excellence. As an established leader in healthcare, the organization offers a supportive environment for professional growth and development, ensuring that healthcare providers can deliver optimal patient outcomes while maintaining work-life balance.

The role of RN Supervisor at CHRISTUS Health is a pivotal position responsible for overseeing the daily operations of nursing activities in designated departments on a 24-hour basis. This supervisory role demands a strong leader capable of managing clinical and support staff while ensuring the delivery of safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. The RN Supervisor works collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams and ancillary departments to meet and exceed organizational quality and safety standards, patient satisfaction benchmarks, and business literacy goals. This role is essential in supporting the Director of Nursing in analyzing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing processes and programs that enhance service delivery and operational performance.

The RN Supervisor's responsibilities include participating in the development and execution of service line strategic business plans, providing consistent application of nursing policies and standards across the organization, and monitoring patient outcomes through rigorous quality assurance measures. Emphasis is placed on staff development, customer satisfaction, and the continuous improvement of operational, financial, and clinical components within the nursing department. The position requires a leader who embodies the OneCHRISTUS Competencies encompassing leadership at multiple levels - self, others, and organizational leaders.

Candidates for this full-time position will be expected to relocate if not currently residing near the employment location, as seamless integration into the work environment is crucial. The work schedule for this role is from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Essential certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS) and a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment or under compact are mandatory. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), backed by a minimum of two years of clinical patient care experience, preferably with prior experience in supervisory or healthcare management roles.

By joining CHRISTUS Health as an RN Supervisor, professionals have the opportunity to lead nursing teams in a dynamic and supportive environment dedicated to excellence in patient care and continuous improvement. This role is integral to maintaining the high standards of nursing service expected at CHRISTUS and contributes directly to the well-being and safety of patients, making it a highly rewarding career choice for dedicated nursing leaders.
