This opportunity is focused on a supervisory role within the production team, where the successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Production Manager to plan and schedule personnel effectively, including managing vacations, temporary workers, and overtime. This role involves providing clear production expectations and quality feedback during daily startup meetings and ensuring that production goals and customer requirements are consistently met. The position demands rigorous adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and 5S organizational standards to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
The supervisor will be responsible for training and monitoring employee performance, guaranteeing operator certification and that training matrices are current and aligned with departmental targets. Additional responsibilities comprise compiling key performance indicators (KPI) data, preparing end-of-shift reports, and distributing these reports to the manager and relevant operations personnel. The role also supports job training and daily job rotations to enhance workforce flexibility and maintain production efficiency.
Further responsibilities include ensuring accord with labor union contracts, company handbooks, safety guidelines, and all regulatory programs that pertain to team members. The supervisor will monitor product quality throughout the production process, actively participate in team leader meetings and quality improvement initiatives, and conduct daily reviews of processes and people to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities. This role is pivotal in fostering an environment of compliance, quality, safety, and collaboration, driving the plant's overall success.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a supervisory production role
- Knowledge of HSE and 5S standards
- Ability to train and certify operators
- Familiarity with labor union contracts and safety guidelines

Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Plan and schedule personnel in cooperation with the Production Manager including vacation, temporary workers, overtime work
- Provide production expectations and quality feedback to team members during daily startup meetings
- Monitor daily production requirements to ensure customer demands and plant objectives are met while adhering to HSE and 5S standards
- Train and monitor employee performance to ensure operator certification and updated training matrix
- Compile KPI data and produce end of shift report distributing to manager and relevant personnel
- Ensure job training and daily job rotations are implemented and enforced
- Ensure compliance with UAW contract, team member handbook, safety guidelines, and production team policies
