This particular opportunity is with Everforth CyberCoders' client in the manufacturing and precious metals industry, specializing in refractory and mold shop services focused on platinum and other precious metals. The Supervisor role for the Platinum, Refractory and Mold Shop Services department is a critical leadership position tasked with managing daily operations within refractory, mold making, and precious metal casting environments. This full-time supervisory role demands a strong background in foundry technology, refractory systems, and precious metal casting techniques. The Supervisor will lead a skilled team to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant production while maintaining rigorous quality and safety standards. They will oversee technical aspects such as mold making processes including ceramic shell, investment (lost-wax), and sand molds; high-temperature operations involving induction and vacuum induction melting; and refractory maintenance activities like furnace lining and crucible upkeep.

The position requires balancing hands-on technical expertise with personnel management responsibilities. Key duties include scheduling and resource allocation, enforcing OSHA and environmental safety protocols, managing refractory installation and repair, coordinating finishing operations like grinding and polishing, and maintaining inventory control. The Supervisor will collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance teams to foster continuous improvement, troubleshoot defects, and implement corrective actions. Strong leadership skills are essential for training and mentoring the team, driving process improvements, and sustaining quality control through ISO and SPC methodologies.

Candidates should have a minimum of seven years of experience in refractory and mold shop functions with at least three years in a supervisory role, preferably within precious metal casting industries involving platinum. A technical degree or equivalent experience is required, with comprehensive qualifications in mold making, furnace operations, refractory techniques, NDT and dimensional inspection, CAD/CAM tooling, and material handling.
