The Inpatient Pharmacy Supervisor role at John Muir Health is a pivotal leadership position within the pharmacy department designed to provide frontline leadership and operational oversight during an assigned shift, unit, or functional area. These areas may include inpatient dispensing, sterile compounding, and decentralized clinical services. The primary mission of this role is to ensure medication management services are safe, accurate, timely, and cost-effective while adhering to all applicable state and federal pharmacy laws, USP 797/800 sterile compounding standards, and the hospital's internal policies. This supervisory position entails coordinating the daily workflow of the pharmacy, supervising a team of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, and actively supporting various quality assurance and medication safety initiatives that enhance patient care.

In this capacity, the Inpatient Pharmacy Supervisor will serve as a critical liaison between the front-line staff and pharmacy leadership, helping to facilitate smooth communication and operational efficiency. The pay range for this position is between $99.60 and $149.39 hourly, depending on demonstrated relevant experience and licensure status. Compensation may be adjusted to reflect market conditions outside of the Bay Area.
