The role available is a full-time Supervisor position in the Non-Enterprise Corporate Parking department responsible for overseeing valet and patron services at Advocate Health care facilities. This role operates Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., ensuring seamless day-shift coverage through effective staff supervision and coordination. The pay range for this position is $24.10 to $36.15 per hour, and it is benefits eligible. This supervisory role involves managing personnel functions such as hiring, performance reviews, and scheduling. The supervisor ensures high-quality customer service and operational efficiency by coaching team members, handling customer inquiries, overseeing financial transactions related to valet services, and maintaining equipment and parking areas at excellent standards. The position requires collaboration with other departmental supervisors to provide adequate coverage across venues and to promote teamwork. Attention to detail, strong communication skills, proficiency with MS Office tools, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment are essential. The supervisor also takes part in budget management and ensures compliance with workplace standards. This is a vital leadership role that influences the customer experience for patients and guests by maintaining smooth valet and patron operations across medical center locations. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum three years supervisory experience in valet or customer service industry
  • Valid applicable state driver's license
  • Ability to work a day-shift schedule Monday through Friday
  • Willingness to participate in on-call weekend coverage
  • Ability to handle physical demands such as standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work in moderate noise environment and exposure to bodily fluids
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Associate's degree preferred
  • Minimum three years supervisory experience in patron and valet industry or related customer service field
  • Valid applicable state driver's license
  • Strong communication skills
  • Familiarity with MS Office products such as Excel and Word
  • Ability to multi-task in a high-stress environment
  • Self-motivated with proven ability to work well in a team-oriented environment

Job Duties

  • Responsible for various personnel functions including hiring, annual reviews, and merit recommendations
  • Develops staffing schedules and approves time and attendance
  • Provides customer service and job-related training to new and existing staff
  • Coaches team members to promote personal growth and service improvement
  • Coordinates daily staffing needs with other supervisors to ensure adequate coverage
  • Oversees daily financial transactions of valet staff
  • Handles customer service inquiries, issues, and complaints promptly and professionally
  • Tracks compliments and complaints for proactive action
  • Conducts regular inspections of equipment and valet/patron areas
  • Assists with patron and valet duties to ensure excellent customer service
  • Provides input to director for operating and capital equipment budgets
  • Manages staff payroll expenses within budgeted hours
  • Promotes teamwork among all patron and valet staff
  • Exhibits a positive attitude and interacts positively with all medical center staff
  • Alternates on-call coverage with other supervisors for weekend coverage
  • Inspects public-facing areas daily to maintain workplace standards
  • Holds staff accountable for cleanliness and neatness of work locations
