We are currently seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to lead and manage operations at our facility in Melrose Park, IL. This is a full-time, in-person role offering a market-competitive compensation package with a salary range between $67,400 and $77,000 paid bi-weekly, along with potential annual bonuses. The role includes working with a dynamic team across different shifts including day and night rotations to ensure continuity of operations.

The Operations Supervisor will play a crucial role in planning, coordinating, and motivating the team while ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational processes. The successful candidate will oversee the safe and efficient use of material handling equipment, track and document team performance through daily production metrics, and collaborate closely with the materials department to guarantee on-time receipt and shipment of materials. This position demands a strong leader who can train employees, monitor workplace safety, and actively contribute to a clean and hazard-free work environment. Emphasis is placed on adherence to Lean methodologies, 5S practices, and quality systems knowledge to maintain high productivity and operational excellence. The role calls for an individual who not only supervises but also inspires and fosters a culture of continuous improvement and accountability within the team. Job Requirements

  • HS Diploma/GED required
  • experience supervising in an automotive, manufacturing, or supply chain/logistics facility
  • strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
  • experience and/or training regarding occupational health & safety, 5S, lean methodologies preferred
  • quality systems knowledge to a reasonable level to monitor staff performance and costs within the department

Job Duties

  • Plan, coordinate work, train, motivate, monitor and evaluate performance of team members
  • ensure their ability to safely operate material handling equipment to move materials
  • monitor and measure team member performance for accuracy and document on daily production metrics
  • identify and eliminate safety and housekeeping hazards to minimize workplace accidents
  • ensure compliance of employees to processes, work instructions, standard work and work elements
  • liaise with materials department to ensure on time receipt and shipment of material
  • perform other duties as assigned
