Job Requirements

  • Associate's degree in nutrition, hospitality, or related field required
  • Minimum two years of experience in food service environment required
  • Minimum one year supervisory experience in healthcare environment preferred
  • Current ServSafe certificate required
  • Current driver's license required upon hire
  • Ability to use computer and troubleshoot office equipment
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure
  • Able to distinguish colors and hear sufficiently for conversation and workplace sounds
  • Able to see adequately to read screens and written documents

Job Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in nutrition, hospitality, or related field preferred
  • Experience in food service environment
  • Supervisory experience in healthcare preferred
  • Knowledge of inventory control
  • Proficiency in computer software such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple assignments effectively
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Job Duties

  • Supervise employees in cafeteria, production, patient meal service, tray line, dish room, catering, and diet offices as appropriate
  • Assure food production and service operations comply with LLUH policies and procedures
  • Monitor timeliness and accuracy of menu selections and quality of food
  • Ensure sanitation and safety procedures are followed in all Nutritional Services areas
  • Provide supervision to maintain compliance with regulatory standards
  • Assist with employee performance evaluations and human resource functions
  • Manage time and attendance and staff scheduling
