Corewell Health is currently hiring a full-time Food and Nutrition Services Supervisor at the Butterworth Hospital location. This position comes with a generous $1,750 sign-on bonus for external hires and involves an evening shift working Monday through Friday from 12:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with on-call weekend responsibilities. The role is essential in ensuring that patients, retail patrons, catering clients, administration, and employees receive high-quality food and nutrition services. The Supervisor will oversee the daily kitchen, catering, and retail operations, focusing on maintaining quality standards, ensuring timely service delivery, and compliance with food safety regulations. This leadership role supervises support employees, managing workflows and resolving issues related to patient meal services in collaboration with nursing staff. Candidates will have supervisory experience, formal training in food preparation and presentation, and a commitment to maintaining a clean and sanitary environment. The Supervisor is responsible for evaluating equipment condition, recommending repairs or replacements, and maintaining accurate patient food service records. Job Requirements
- Associate's degree or equivalent in related field
- Formal training in food preparation and presentation
- 2 years of relevant skills knowledge and abilities typically gained through 2+ years of related experience
- 2 years of relevant experience progressively responsible food service
- Supervisory experience
- CRT-Accredited Food Protection Manager certification upon hire required
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Supervises and coordinates daily activities of employees in kitchen, catering and retail areas ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met
- Monitors and evaluates food and nutrition services operations to maximize resources and minimize delays
- Ensures clean and sanitary environment is maintained and equipment is repaired and in good working order
- Monitors and evaluates nutrition services employees ensuring trays are distributed and retrieved timely and patient records are documented
- Ensures retail and catering services are appropriately staffed and quality services provided collaborating with nursing staff to solve patient meal service problems
- Supervises support employees providing direction and support to ensure effectiveness and efficiency
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, training, planning, appraising, rewarding, disciplining, and resolving employee issues
