Job Description
WSC is a reputable operational services company dedicated to providing high-quality facility management and support services that align with client needs and industry standards. WSC fosters an inclusive and equitable work environment, committed to diversity and equal opportunity employment practices. This full-time role offers a competitive hourly wage of $19.25 and is targeted towards an overnight supervisory position.
The Supervisor I position at WSC is integral to maintaining the operational facility's efficiency and compliance with contractual obligations. This role involves ensuring all facets of the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and Statement of Work (SOW) are not only met but surpassed wherever possible. The Supervisor I is tasked with upholding quality standards and managing cost objectives to support the overarching mission of WSC. The role requires attentive oversight of facility operations, safety protocols, employee training, and customer service excellence. The incumbent must ensure a clean, secure, and well-prepared work environment, as well as certify that all employees comply with operational and safety procedures.
An essential function of this role is the staffing facet, including scheduling and training employees in accordance with PWS, SOW, Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), and company policies. The supervisor consistently monitors safety aspects related to the personnel, equipment, and the facility itself, implementing corrective and educational actions where necessary. Additionally, this role demands the responsible management of facility supplies and storage areas to guarantee uninterrupted operational flow.
Delivering superior customer service is a cornerstone of the Supervisor I duties, ensuring external and internal clients receive consistent and high-quality support. The supervisor must also prepare and submit timely and accurate reports and correspondence related to operational performance. Demonstrating leadership, communication skills, stress management, personal effectiveness, and results-driven focus are crucial competencies for success in this position.
The supervisory responsibilities extend to the oversight, performance management, and discipline of operational facility employees. The work environment exposes the employee to various challenging conditions including extreme temperatures, mechanical vibrations, and potentially loud noise levels. Physical demands vary from sitting and talking to lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds. The role adheres to standard full-time hours with occasional evenings and weekends required, alongside potential local and occasional overnight travel for business purposes or conferences.
Education requirements for this role include a minimum of a high school diploma or GED. Preference is given to candidates with an associate degree in Business Management and familiarity with equipment used per contract specifications. Prior supervisory experience is advantageous. The position requires a valid driver's license with insurability certification and adherence to corporate auto policies. Compliance with drug screening and multiple background checks, including WSC-specific and other relevant checks like NACI or DPS, is mandatory. WSC embraces equal employment opportunity principles, ensuring all qualified applicants receive fair consideration regardless of personal attributes or protective statuses. This comprehensive role is foundational to delivering consistent operational excellence and supporting WSC's mission to provide superior service to its stakeholders.
