The company strongly values diversity and inclusion, fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment where all employees can thrive. Staples emphasizes safety, growth, and a culture of continuous improvement, making it an attractive employer for those seeking a dynamic career in supply chain management.
The Warehouse Fulfillment Center Supervisor role is pivotal within Staples' supply chain team. Veterans are especially encouraged to apply, highlighting the company's commitment to inclusive hiring practices.
In this supervisory role, you will be responsible for partnering with fulfillment center leadership to achieve three core objectives: delivering exceptional customer service that exceeds expectations, optimizing processes to reduce costs and increase operational efficiency, and fostering a positive associate experience that continuously improves over time. You will lead and motivate hourly associates to meet productivity, accuracy, and quality standards while overseeing daily, weekly, and monthly departmental planning.
You will also play a key role in improving workflows by recommending changes to processes and procedures, participating in the hiring, training, and coaching of team members, and leveraging operational reports to evaluate performance against goals. Collaboration with the Fulfillment Center Team Manager and other management personnel is critical to ensure adherence to company policies and the overall success of the fulfillment center.
Safety is a top priority at Staples, and as a supervisor, you will be responsible for enforcing safe work practices and promoting a culture of safety among your team. The role requires hands-on leadership, clear communication, and a commitment to continuous improvement and employee development. Responsibilities also include managing headcount to meet departmental objectives, ensuring effective communication and teamwork, utilizing fulfillment and distribution technologies, and adapting quickly to safety procedures.
Candidates should be comfortable working in a warehouse environment with seasonal temperature variations and capable of opening and closing the building, potentially serving as a key holder. Basic English proficiency, both verbal and written, is necessary for effective communication and documentation. This role offers the opportunity to be an integral leader within Staples' supply chain operations, contributing directly to the company's reputation for excellence and customer satisfaction.
